Patna, April 3 -- The police on Friday seized 62.13 grams of opium and arrested one accused in this connection.
City Superintendent of Police (East) Parichay Kumar said here that a sustained drive is being carried out against narcotics in the district.
A tip-off was received on Thursday regarding alleged involvement of a tenant in illegal trade of narcotic substances from a house near Maheshwari Lane in the Mahendru area under Sultan Ganj police station limits.
Kumar said the police team conducted a raid at the premises and recovered 62.13 grams of opium along with six mobile phones, 15 lighters, and Rs 37, 300 in cash.
