Shimla, Feb. 10 -- Shimla police have arrested a 50-year-old Nepali national after recovering 1.811 kilograms of hashish from his possession in the Chopal area of the district, officials said on Saturday.
A case under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Chopal, Superintendent of Police Garav Singh said. The recovery was made on February 9 during a routine patrolling operation.
The accused has been identified as Chandan Budha, son of Nar Bahadur, a permanent resident of Nepal, who was residing in Village Pujarli, Post Office Bamta, Tehsil Chopal, Shimla district.
