Shimla, Feb. 2 -- Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) clarified on Monday that women and other passengers travelling at subsidised rates would continue to receive a 50 per cent concession on bus fares even without the Him Bus Card, as the card-based system has not yet been implemented in the corporation's buses.
HRTC management said a proposal for implementation of the Him Bus Card system has already been sent to the state government. The card would be made mandatory only after formal government orders are issued, and until then the existing system of providing fare concessions would continue unchanged.
