Kolkata, Nov. 21 -- A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Bangladesh's cpaital, Dhaka on Friday, with tremors felt as far as Kolkata and several parts of Northeast India, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake's epicentre was in Narsingdi, approximately 50 km from Dhaka, at a depth of 10 km. So far, no damage, injuries, or casualties have been reported.
In Kolkata, people experienced tremors around 10:10 am for a few seconds. Tremors were also felt in other parts of West Bengal, including Cooch Behar and Dakshin and Uttar Dinajpur.
