Jaunpur, Aug. 13 -- A tragic road accident occurred late Tuesday night in the Guraini Bazaar area under the Khetasarai police station limits of Jaunpur district, police said.
A Roadways bus traveling from Varanasi to Shahganj collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
The collision resulted in the deaths of five passengers - four died on the spot, while one succumbed to injuries during treatment at the district hospital. Among the deceased were three men, one woman, and one child.
Over 24 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. Several of them are receiving treatment at local private hospitals, while six critically injured individuals have been admitted to the district hospital. One severely injured passenge...
