Hyderabad, May 3 -- The Hyderabad traffic police booked 445 motorists for drunk driving during a two-day special drive conducted on May 1 and 2 to enhance road safety.

Among those caught, 371 were two-wheeler riders, 26 were three-wheeler drivers, and 48 were driving four-wheelers and other vehicles. Most offenders recorded Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels between 51-100 mg, followed by 30-50 mg and 101-150 mg ranges.

Police reiterated a zero-tolerance approach towards drunken driving and urged commuters to cooperate, warning that such enforcement drives will continue.

Meanwhile, the Cyberabad Traffic Police apprehended 283 offenders during a weekend special drive. Of these, 227 were two-wheeler riders, nine three-wheeler drivers...
