Prayagraj, Feb. 20 -- Panic gripped Chandra Shekhar Azad Park on Friday afternoon after a swarm of bees attacked visitors, leaving at least 42 schoolgirls injured. Several of the injured are reported to be in critical condition and have been admitted to hospital.

The incident occurred near Gate No. 3 of the park, close to the statue of freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad. A group of students from a residential girls' school in Bahadurpur, Phulpur tehsil, had come to the park for an educational tour. Besides the students, many other visitors were present at the time of the attack.
