Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, March 1 -- Indian domestic airlines cancelled around 350 flights on Sunday. The development followed reports that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in a joint US-Israeli military operation carried out in Tehran in the early hours of the day.
According to Iranian state media, the strikes targeted northern parts of the capital, including areas close to Khamenei's residence and official offices. Several missiles reportedly struck near the presidential palace in Shemiran as well as locations in the vicinity of the Supreme Leader's compound.
