Biswendu BhattacharjeeBelem (Brazil), Nov. 13 -- At least 35 prominent philanthropic organisations, under the banner of 'The Climate and Health Funders Coalition,' have come together to combat the worsening public health crisis linked to climate change.

The organisations have pledged an initial investment of 300 million USD to address both the root causes and health repercussions of climate change.

The funding would be meant for air pollution-caused diseases, infectious diseases, and heat wave-related health issues - eventually, all three areas are extremely important and relevant for India.
