Chennai, April 19 -- In one of the heart rending incident in recent times, 21 workers were killed and 19 others injured in twin explosions that ripped through a private cracker manufacturing at Kattanarpatti village in the southern Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening.
The deceased included women.
When contacted by UNI, sources in State DGP police headquarters here confirmed that 21 people were killed in the tragedy and eight others were critically injured and were rushed to hospital, though unconfirmed reports put the casualty figure at 23.
