Beirut/Jerusalem, Aug. 15 -- Two people were injured Thursday night from a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes and drones on Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's official media and Lebanese security sources.

According to Lebanon's National News Agency, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a motorcycle in the village of Aitaroun in the central sector of southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's health ministry said two people were injured in the attack. A security source told Xinhua that their target was a municipal police officer of the village.

Meanwhile, Israel's military said Thursday that it struck southern Lebanon, targeting what it described as Hezbollah underground tunnels.
