Hazaribagh, Oct. 3 -- A 14-year-old girl, Reshmi Kumari, died today at Barhi Sub-Divisional Hospital in Hazaribagh district, with her family alleging medical negligence.
Reshmi, daughter of Chano Bhuiyan of Tajpur, Chauparan, was a tuberculosis (TB) patient. She was brought to the hospital after her condition suddenly worsened.
Family members accused the on-duty doctor, Dr Indrajit Kumar, of failing to provide timely treatment. They claim they repeatedly urged the doctor to examine the seriously ill patient.
However, the doctor allegedly issued a referral slip without examining her.
