Pune, March 5 -- Amid escalating regional tensions in parts of the Middle East, 111 out of 184 citizens from the district who were stranded in Dubai have safely returned to Pune, District Collector Jitendra Dudi informed on Thursday.
According to the district administration, the flight schedule of 19 citizens has been rescheduled, while efforts are currently underway to facilitate the return of the remaining 54 individuals.
As per directives issued by the Centre and the Government of Maharashtra, advisories have been issued to ensure the safety of Indian nationals residing abroad. Citizens have been urged to stay alert, avoid unnecessary movement, and strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities and Indian embassies.
