Basti, April 16 -- A shocking incident was reported from Basti district, where an 11-year-old boy was allegedly set on fire by a catering contractor for eating two rasgullas at a wedding, officials said on Thursday.
The victim, Amar alias Chaman, had come with his grandmother to attend a relative's wedding in Malauli Gosai village under Chhawani police station limits.
Around 8 PM on Wednesday, while playing with other children, he went near the food preparation area and ate two rasgullas.
This reportedly angered the catering contractor, who allegedly caught the boy and set him on fire using diesel.
