Chennai, Oct. 6 -- A total of 11 Tamil Nadu fishermen were injured in twoseparate attacks in midsea by suspected Sri Lankan sea pirates early thismorning and looted their valuables.
In all eight Lankan pirates came in two baots and attacked the fishermenand decamped with a motor engine, GPS device, five mobile phones andtheir fishing nets.
The 11 fishermen hailing from Nagapattinam district had ventured into thesea in two groups (offive and six) in two boats for fishng when the incidentoccurred while they were fishing near Kodiyakkarai in Tamil Nadu waters.
