Ranchi, Feb. 7 -- The Jharkhand health department has decided to operate the 108 ambulance service on an Ola-like model, ensuring faster response, real-time monitoring and completely free service for patients. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Ajoy Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Health on Friday.

The meeting discussed key issues related to strengthening health services, including software development for 108 ambulance operations, issuance of RFPs for pathology and radiology services under PPP mode, appointment of paramedical staff, and procurement of machines and equipment for hospitals.
