Firozabad, Aug. 27 -- A 10-year-old girl was found strangled to death in a millet field of Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district this morning.
The girl's body was found in Garhi Pandey village, located just 500 metres from the Rajavali police station, triggering widespread outrage among villagers, who staged a two-hour protest by blocking the Tundla-Etah road with the girl's body.
According to initial reports, the girl, Kajal, daughter of Devendra Singh Baghel, had accompanied her father as usual to graze their 55 goats in a nearby enclosed field around 6:45 AM. While her father went home briefly at the request of his wife to unload a cement sack, Kajal stayed behind, sitting near the gate and watching videos on a mobile phone.
