Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 13 -- In a deeply moving act of generosity, a 10-month-old baby girl has become Kerala's youngest organ donor, offering a new lease of life to multiple children after her untimely demise following a road accident.
The infant, Aalin Sherin Abraham, a native of Mallappally in Pathanamthitta district, sustained critical injuries in a car accident on February 5 while travelling with her mother and maternal grandparents.
She was first admitted to nearby hospitals and later shifted to Amrita Hospital in Ernakulam for advanced treatment. Despite intensive medical care, doctors declared her brain-dead.
