Vijayawada, Sept. 28 -- The Andhra Pradesh Government has provided Rs 996 crore worth medical treatment to over 1.41 lakh people under NTR Vaidya Seva scheme till September 26.

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said on Sunday that the administration is committed to provide the best medical treatment to the poor at free of cost under the NTR Vaidya Seva scheme. Diagnosis for heart diseases is conducted to the beneficiaries to avoid the patient's life threats. He made it clear that the Government is providing basic amenities in the government hospitals.

"By providing timely medical treatment during the golden hour period, the lives of 3,402 patients were saved for which the Government has spent Rs 7 crore," the Health Minister asserted.
