Chandigarh, Feb. 10 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has found itself at the centre of a political firestorm following highly provocative remarks made by its Nakodar legislator, Inderjit Kaur Mann. During a party protest in Chandigarh on Monday, the MLA claimed that AAP would sweep all 117 seats in the next Punjab Assembly elections by "placing a knee on the necks" of its political opponents.
The controversial statement was made during a demonstration organised by AAP against Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa for his alleged derogatory remarks regarding a cabinet minister's father.
