New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- With not much respite for the citizens, the average Air Quality Index of the national capital on Sunday was recorded in the 'poor' category, with a reading of 229, said the pollution monitoring agency Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The Commission for Air Quality Management in Delhi and the NCR areas had recently revoked the pollution control actions under its Graded Response Action Plan's stage- II, after witnessing some improvement in the air scenario.
Now only the GRAP stage- I measures remain in effect across the Delhi- NCR, while the agency has asked the implementing agencies concerned to intensify these measures to prevent further deterioration of the AQI levels.
