Hyderabad, April 5 -- The ancient art of 'Avadhanam', known for demonstrating extraordinary memory and concentration, was showcased with grandeur during the 'Maha Shatavadhanam' programme organised under the aegis of Jain International Vidyapeeth here on Sunday.
The event was witnessed the participation of Jain spiritual leaders, members of the community and several distinguished guests.
Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, who attended as chief guest, inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
He said that 'Avadhanam' holds a unique place in Indian culture and demonstrates the immense potential of the human brain, which can perform at speeds comparable to computers.
