Davos, Jan. 22 -- U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said on Thursday that "a lot of progress" has been made in talks aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

"It's time to end this. I think we're going to get this done," he said at the Davos Ukrainian Breakfast.

Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are expected to travel to Moscow later on Thursday for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. media reported, adding that the Kremlin confirmed the meeting.
