Jiribam, Sept. 25 -- The Jiribam District Administration on Thursday launched the "Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath" cleanliness drive under the nationwide Swachhta Hi Seva campaign. The initiative, supervised by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, began at Jiribam Railway Station with the support of Jiribam Municipal Council, 87th Bn CRPF, 215 Bn CRPF and 156th Bn CRPF.
The drive forms part of the countrywide campaign to promote cleanliness and community participation in the run-up to Gandhi Jayanti. It encourages citizens to devote one hour to cleaning public places, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean Bharat.
