Shimla, Jan. 29 -- Himachal Forum for Peace and Harmony has expressed strong concern over the inclusion of what it termed as a "communal overtone" in a nukkad natak performed during the state-level Republic Day function in Shimla. The programme was held in the presence of the Governor, the Chief Minister, senior ministers, top police and administrative officers, and heads of departments.
In a press release, the Forum convener Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar said it was deeply unfortunate that a performance meant to address the serious issue of chitta (drug menace) allegedly introduced a communal narrative during a solemn constitutional occasion.
