Los Angeles, Nov. 17 -- Farhan Akhtar's war epic "120 Bahadur" is set to make history as the first film to release across India's defense theater network, according to Variety. The film will screen in over 800 cinema halls serving the country's military community when it opens on November 21.
Centered on the Battle of Rezang La, the film recounts the heroic stand of 120 Indian soldiers from Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought Chinese forces at an altitude of over 16,000 feet in Ladakh in 1962.
Of them, 114 soldiers were killed in action, making it one of the most defining battles in Indian military history.
