Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu, mother of Dr Zubaida Rahman, cast her vote at the City College polling centre in Dhaka-10 on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Zubaida voted at Gulshan Model High School and College centre in Gulshan-2 along with her husband BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman and their daughter Zaima Rahman.

After casting her vote, Zubaida went to her mother's residence in Dhanmondi and accompanied her to the City College centre.

On arrival, Iqbal Mand Banu was helped out of the vehicle and taken to the polling booth in a wheelchair.

Zubaida waited in a car on the ground floor of the centre during the process.
