Hainan (China), March 27 -- Former deputy governor of the People's Bank of China WU Xiaoling on Thursday spoke about Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus' role in poverty alleviation through microcredit programmes and social business initiatives, saying that she was an admirer of the Nobel Peace Laureate.

"Your contribution to eradicating poverty is truly inspiring. I sincerely wish that under your leadership Bangladesh shines," she said.

Xiaoling met the Chief Adviser on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference.
