Dhaka, Aug. 2 -- World Ranger Day was celebrated for the first time in Bangladesh with the theme 'Rangers, Powering Transformative conservation' on Thursday. Rallies, tree plantations and discussions were held to mark the day.
These programs were celebrated recently at the Forest Academy, Chittagong, on the occasion of World Ranger Day.
World Ranger Day is celebrated around the world on July 31st each year on the anniversary of the founding of The International Ranger Federation (IRF), an organization that supports the work of rangers as the key protectors of parks and conservation.
Ranger Sifat Al Rabbani delivered the welcome speech at the discussion moderated by Forest Ranger Suphol Roy.
