Dhaka, Sept. 13 -- Two more deaths were reported from dengue in the 24 hours leading up to Saturday morning, raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 147 this year.

The deaths were reported under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During this period, 279 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, bringing the total number of cases to 37,206 so far this year.

According to the DGHS, new cases were reported as follows: 45 in Barishal Division (outside city corporation), 84 in Chattogram Division (outside city corporation), 42 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporation), 33 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 64 in Dhaka Sout...
