, Jan. 30 -- e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Friday criticized political opponents for disregarding those who helped secure the release of political prisoners and facilitated their return to the country.

Speaking as the chief guest at an election rally of the 11-party alliance at Adarsha Samad High School grounds in Lakshmipur town, he said, "Some people refuse to acknowledge the contributions of those who helped prisoners gain freedom and return to the country. They call them derogatory names. This is shameful and unacceptable. A person who does not recognize help and express gratitude cannot be a good human being."

Dr. Shafiqur urged voters to support change through the upcoming election.

"If you want change, you must vote 'yes...
