Chandpur, March 23 -- Rafiqul Islam, an adventurous swimmer from Sirajganj's Belkuchi upazila, reached Chandpur's Molhead on Saturday, marking the 19th day of his mission to swim from the border region of Jhunkarchar in Kurigram to the Bay of Bengal.

Rafiqul, known for his brave expeditions, was warmly received upon arrival by Chandpur's Chief Judicial Magistrate Muntasir Ahmed, world traveler Tanvir Apu, and local residents.

Rafiqul Islam is the husband of Bangladesh's first female Everest summiteer Nishat Majumder, who is accompanying him on this journey.

He said his expedition is part of an initiative by his adventure organisation to promote thrilling and challenging pursuits.
