Dhaka, June 24 -- Air raid sirens were heard across parts of Israel early Tuesday following missile launches from Iran, further intensifying tensions as questions remain over a possible ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, the Israeli military confirmed that missiles had been fired from Iranian territory and advised residents to take cover.
According to Israel's Channel 12, two rockets were launched toward northern Israel, both of which were intercepted by Israel's air defense systems. The report added that one of the rockets was initially headed south.
