Dhaka, Jan. 31 -- Two ships carrying a total of 30,500 tonnes of imported rice from Myanmar and India have arrived at Chattogram and Mongla ports.

The MV PTV AROMA, transporting 23,000 tonnes of rice from Myanmar under a government-to-government (G2G) agreement, has docked at Chattogram port, the food ministry confirmed in a press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, the MV ALPHA, carrying 7,500 tonnes of rice from India through an open tender, reached Mongla port.

Necessary measures have been taken to ensure the quick unloading of the rice.
