, Nov. 11 -- Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Tuesday said that security patrols have been intensified across the country and protective measures strengthened at Key Point Installations (KPIs) ahead of the November 13 'lockdown' announced by the Awami League.

"We have stepped up our patrols. Security at KPIs has been beefed up. Selling fuel on the streets has been stopped," he said while talking to reporters after a meeting of the advisory council committee on law and order at the Secretariat.
