Dhaka, Dec. 26 -- Security has been tightened at key points along the Dhaka-Aricha highway, including Zia Udyan and the Savar National Memorial, ahead of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's scheduled visit to the area.

A sufficient number of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order, said Shariful Islam, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of BGB headquarters.

According to the programme, following Jumma prayers, Tarique Rahman will visit the grave of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman.
