Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- National River Conservation Commission Chairman Maksumul Hakim Chowdhury has been promoted to the rank of Senior Secretary.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding the promotion on Sunday (December 21).

Prior to the promotion, Maksumul Hakim Chowdhury had been serving as Chairman of the National River Protection Commission on a contractual basis with the rank of Secretary.

Following his elevation to Senior Secretary, he has been reappointed as Chairman of the River Protection Commission, retaining his previous position.
