Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- The Ministry of Railways on Monday warned of strict legal action against those involved in sabotage, vandalism or obstruction of railway operations, saying such acts endanger passenger safety and cause significant losses to national assets.

In a notice, the ministry said recent incidents of deliberate damage to railway tracks, stone-throwing at trains and unjustified blockades have disrupted train services, caused public suffering and tarnished the image of Bangladesh Railway.
