, Oct. 7 -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that pilgrims will be allowed to register for Hajj 2026 using expired passports, in a move aimed at easing the registration process.

The Hajj-1 branch of the ministry issued a letter in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the letter, the decision was made to ease the registration process for those intending to perform Hajj in 2026. However, it clarified that Hajj pilgrimage or Hajj agencies registering with expired passports must ensure the passport's expiry date is updated in the passport system at the time of generating the Pilgrim ID (PID) required for visa issuance.
