Dhaka, April 12 -- Islamic scholar Dr Mizanur Rahman Azhari said on Saturday that Palestine resides in each Bangladeshis' heart.

"This great assembly of people in the 'March for Gaza' proves that a Palestine dwells in each of our hearts," he said at the "March for Gaza" protest rally in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon.

"Today's 'March for Gaza' is an expression of our love for Palestine and Al-Aqsa. Even though we are far from them in geographical location, Palestine is in our hearts," he added.

During his speech, Azhari also led chants of "Free, free Palestine! Palestine will be free!" as the crowd responded in unison.
