Pakistan trying to stir up trouble in Kashmir ahead of UN meet: Sources
Dhaka, Sept. 6 -- Security forces posted in Jammu and Kashmir have been put on alert in view of Pakistan's attempts to escalate violence along the International Border and the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Islamabad's idea is to draw the attention of the international community to Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the United Nations General Assembly, sources in the Home Ministry told NDTV.
The UN General Assembly begins on September 17 and will be attended by most of the world leaders. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan will also attend the event.
