Dhaka, May 9 -- The Islamic Foundation has not taken any initiative to officially register mosques or provide allowances to Khatibs, Imams and Muezzins.

Recently, an unscrupulous group of self-interested individuals has been spreading misleading and baseless information through social media and trying to create confusion in the public mind and achieve their own vile interests, the Islamic Foundation said this in a press release on Friday.

In this regard, the respected Khatib's-Imams, scholars-ulamas, relevant dignitaries and devout Muslims are being requested not to be confused.
