, Aug. 18 -- The Election Commission has no reason to be concerned at this stage about law and order during the upcoming national election slated for February 2026, said EC senior secretary Md Akhtar Ahmed on Monday.

"I don't think there is any logical reason right now to be concerned about this," he said, replying to a question from reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital.

The EC Secretary said the EC will think of the law and order issue later and it is working to expedite election preparations now. "At this moment, we have no reason to express the overall concern," he said.
