Chandpur, July 24 -- Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP) Nasir Uddin Patwari on Tuesday said a mass upsurge is sweeping across the country in support of forming a new government under NCP's leadership.

He made the remarks while addressing a roadside rally in Doa Bhanga area of Shahrasti upazila in Chandpur, as part of the party's ongoing month-long July march.

"People from all walks of life-from religious scholars to women-are placing their trust in the NCP's leadership and uniting under one banner," said Patwari.

He said that once the NCP comes to power, all incidents of murder will be properly investigated and both the armed forces and police will be restructured.
