, April 16 -- The government has withdrawn the suspension order against Md Shafiqul Islam Akand, member of the Tax Appellate Tribunal of the Double Bench of Chittagong, on Wednesday.
Earlier on September 19 last year Akand was suspended on the allegations of taking bribes.
"He has been suspended under The Public Servants Act for allegedly taking bribes at his office on 2 September," reads an order signed by NBR Chairman Abdur Rahman Khan on September 19.

On today's order, there is no mention of any reason why his suspension has been withdrawn.
