Dhaka, Nov. 10 -- The Bangladesh Navy has rescued 24 fishermen along with a fishing trawler name Madina-6 that was left adrift in the Bay of Bengal following an engine failure.
According to the inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Navy's patrol ship Banouja Aparajeyo spotted the trawler about 29 nautical miles south of the Mongla Fairway Buoy.
The trawler was detected on radar as a vessel in distress due to engine failure. Upon reaching the spot, Navy personnel found that the trawler had been floating in the deep sea without communication equipment after its engine broke down
