Dhaka, June 24 -- Bangladesh posted 262 for seven against Afghanistan in their seventh game of the ongoing ICC Men's World Cup at Southampton on Monday.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim struck 83 off 87 balls with four fours and one six, which was Bangladesh's highest individual score in the match. Along with him, Shakib Al Hasan hit a fifty (51).

Bangladesh's 262 is the highest team total at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, in this World Cup. Along the way, Bangladesh surpassed India's 230 that they scored against South Africa on June 5.
