Kathmandu (Nepal), Dec. 11 -- Director General of International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) Pema Gyamtsho on Thursday said the future of the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) depends on collaboration across borders, sectors, and generations, stressing that cooperation is their only realistic strategy.

"Mountains ignore political borders. Rivers do not stop at national frontiers. Glaciers do not melt according to geopolitics," he said marking the International Mountain Day that falls on December 11.
