Dhaka, April 30 -- Mehidy Hasan Miraz produced a composed century to help Bangladesh post 444 in their first innings and take a 217-run lead over Zimbabwe on the third day of the second Test.

Before Mehdiy, Shadman Islam also hit a century for the hosts.

Zimbabwe's debutante Vincent Masekesa bagged five wickets for 115 runs, becoming only third Zimbabwe bowler to register a five-for on Test debut.

Resuming at 291 for 7 in the morning, the hosts had lost momentum late on Day 2 but were steadied by Mehidy's brilliant knock and a good effort from debutant Tanzim Hasan.

Earlier in the session, Mehidy had forged a 63-run partnership with Taijul Islam, who made 20 before becoming leg-spinner Vincent Masakesa's fourth victim.
