, May 31 -- Services at the National Institute of Opthalmology and Hospital (NIOH) in Dhaka remained suspended for the 4th consecutive day on Saturday following a clash between hospital staff and patients injured during the July uprising.
The hospital staff went on work abstention following the clash on May 28.
However, the hospital authorities have yet to confirm when medical services will resume.
"We, the doctors, are not attending the hospital as per the instruction of our Acting Director Dr Jan-e-Alam Mridha. We will return to duty only when the situation normalises and he instructs us to do so," Consultant Dr Sanjoy Kumar told UNB.
